My name is Deborah Carr.  I've completed five novels, three contemporary romances, one saga and because of taking part in the 2009 NaNoWriMo Competition, a young adult novel.  After several months of research, I've now started writing my sixth book, and am loving every second of it.

I'm lucky enough to be a member of the excellent and supportive Romantic Novelists Association, Novel Racers, and Story A Fortnight group, and spend most of my writing time in a shed filled with an inspiring mixture of eclectic odds and ends collected over the years and watched over by a very grumpy Miniature Schnauzer.

I believe that the best way to learn the art of writing is to place bum on chair, fingers on keyboard, and get on with it. 

I write because I can't imagine not doing so.
